Hello everyone! As some among you know already, I am a large Metal amateur (and of progressive). Moreover, the nickname of Eddie refers has celebrates it mascot of Iron Maiden (group that I affectionne particularly). It is finally time that I join the site of my buddy vituel Bad Guy in order to discuss what impassions me still more than the fight... le METAL IN ALL ITS FORMS. My goal is you give my appreciation on each part of an album in particular. I would not hide that it is the chance which will determine which disc will be the subject of my analysis. I am large undecided and to choose a particular album among the few 350 that I have will be a nightmarish mission for me. The idea of such a chronicle came to me after having read the comments of Alain Fournier concerning very new Iced Earth, comments which he wrote he y' has already a few weeks.

Good... l' album which has the honor to be the subject of my first chronicle is.....PRIMAL FEAR of Primal Fear.

This is the first disc of this group Power Metal made mainly of Matt Sinner and Ralf Scheepers to the song (former singer of Ray Gamma amongst other things thing). They are very influenced by Judas Priest and that is seen before even to have heard the album thanks to the small pocket. An iron eagle, possitionné almost like that which decorates Screaming for Vengeance on Priest. But let us pass to most significant: songs!

1 PRIMAL FEAR (0:34) : As you will have guessed by seeing the duration, it is here only about one small intro. Not great a deal with saying of other!

2 CHAINBREAKER (4:25) : Yes, purrrrrrrrrrreeeeee heavy metal, héhé! It is about a very good song to leave a disc, not of doubt on top. Riff already heard of the hundreds of times but always effective. Impossible not to be made go the head. "Just like year outlaw he' S fighting for freedom. Defeating the enemie' S pride "you see the traditional kind of word of group in Priest. And it is seen why Scheepers has fact left the candidates finalists to replace Rob Halford. It has a whole voice this guy! The air of already-considering and the refrain all the same ordinnaire prohibits to me to give a perfect note. Let us say one rather 4!

DIMENSION: 4/5

3 SILVER & GOLD (3:13) : Another which I like particularly. An air more than entrainant with a refrain very hooker. Without anything to hide you, it resembles on several points the chason précèdente but as it was good there is not too much problem. The song receives a note a little higher than the other thanks to its best refrain.

DIMENSION: 4,5/5

4 PROMISED LAND (4:25) : Incredible but the more I advance in the album, the more I find it sublime. I hold can be small jewels between the hands. This other song has a refrain excel and we hear another beautiful demonstration of song on behalf of Scheepers. The words make me a little think of Future World de Helloween since one speaks about a world or peace and happiness will dominate. Unfortunately, it is not the day before tomorrow: (

DIMENSION: 5/5

5 FORMULA ONE (4:57) : A very brutal riff, a fast tempo.....merde one would say now Freewheel Burning de Priest, héhé. Very good song but I have a lèger (even large) problem with the words. Let us say that a song on Formula 1 does not interest me at all, probably because this entertainment does not interest me at the beginning (and not, I did not live the fever of the great price of the last weekend). It is told that the guy gains his race, that it is made sprinkle champagne, etc... Impossible for me to identify me so that the singer tells. But I can nevertheless be made brew the head, that it is sure. To note the presence of Kai Hansen at the time of the solo of guitar.

DIMENSION: 3,5/5

6 DOLLARS (3:59) : BOF... in here one which too much did not impress me at the beginning. Riff and refrain very ordinnaire, neither good nor bad. After a certain time, I came from there to not appreciate it a little more but at the point to regard it as one of best the songs of this album. Once again the presence of Hansen to the guitar but one do not even realize there. Is the money dirty.....nous the soaps already, not?

DIMENSION: 3/5

7 NINE LIVES (3:08) : In here is a step long but which has punch. A p' tite quickly, what! Very fast with a refrain which remains engraved in the memory for the remainder of the day. A good manners to re-embark in the album after the ordinnaire Dollars. A charged with electricity solo which makes me think of those... aller of trying to guess...... of course Priest. I believe that you have to guess that it is necessary for you to be a fan of Judas Priest for appreciating this disc well. The influence is so large!

DIMENSION: 5/5

8 TEARS OF RAGE (6:48) : Hold, a ballade to make change. I have a little difficulty with that, I am always afraid that that well too is with the water of pink with "I love you my love, does not leave". That makes me too much think of Bon Jovi, which do you want? But fortunately, this one avoids this trap. It is nevertheless a little too long and the refrain becomes too redundant about it. I do not want to be too severe all the same, I already heard quite worse. And I do not want to pass for ogre with a stony heart, héhé.

DIMENSION: 3,5/5

9 SPEEDKING (4:01) : Yes, it is indeed a resumption of the song of Deep Purple with a tempo very fast but faithful to the original. Incredible to think that Purple went also quickly from the very start of the Seventies. It is a good part at the beginning and it remains excellent... except that it is not almost to change. One cannot be filled with wonder at the version of Primal Fear, one can just note that it is similar. I like better when a band really made their own version of a cover (example: the version of Still Loving You de Scorpions by Sonata Arctica. Jewels!). That remains very of time écoutable!

DIMENSION: 3/5

10 BATTALIONS OF HATE (3:51) : I avous that that starts to be repeated and not in the good direction. This one offers anything special, a refrain very ordinnaire just like the solo. Worse until now.

DIMENSION: 2/5

11 RUNNING IN THE DUST (4:38) : "I' m walking through the streets with has stranger look. Their eyes staring At have me the darkness cooks!" It y' had one period of my life or it was me very spit, héhé. Good riff, one sees that Primal Fear had still another good song to offer to us after Battalions of Hate. That remains always also typical (one perceives even AC/DC in the heap) but very involving. I like.

DIMENSION: 3,5/5

12 THUNDERDOME (3:45) : Good... il is necessary that that finishes because one starts to always hear the same things. This part is not bad but does not have anything to offer of other but the first songs of the album. Science fiction film words of category B bad Pas but too ordinnaire.

DIMENSION: 2,5/5

VERDICT: A disc which leaves into large and which is intended to be traditional but which loses a little its value in the last parts. Despite everything, it is about an album which any fan of Judas Priest will be able to appreciate while waiting for their next album planned for soon (Demolition). For a first disc it is about a beautiful success with an average of 3,5/5
